The Saavli Scholarship supports students pursuing higher education with funds generated through donations and clothing sales. Apparel designed in collaboration with local artists is on its way!

eLearning Modules are educational tools designed for health practitioners, offering guidance on delivering culturally sensitive mental health care to South Asian patients. A research project at the University of Ottawa is underway assessing their efficacy.

The Youth Outreach Program aims to engage young people in the community and empower them to become mental health advocates through workshops on mental health education and combatting stigma.

The Resource Directory serves as a centralized hub for connecting individuals with culturally appropriate resources in Canada based on location, language, accessibility, and cost.

The Summer Mentorship Program connects post-secondary students with young professionals for 1:1 mentorship, career advice, and networking opportunities. Applications are closed as the 2025 program is underway.

The Culture and Psychiatry Initiative at the University of Ottawa’s Department of Psychiatry collaborates on research assessing the effectiveness of our culturally tailored mental health initiatives.

Brown Envelope is 70-minute personal documentary in development with CBC about filmmaker Ian Bawa’s father, Jagdeep Singh Bawa, and the racism and discrimination he experienced as a Sikh working as a mail clerk for Canada Post in the mid 90s.

The Care Corner is an initiative based in Calgary, Alberta that’s mission is to create safe spaces for those who have experienced loss by organizing events to honour and remember those who have passed away.
